Water molecules swirl and congregate, pass over and through miles upon miles, are tampered by weather patterns, are pulled and pushed by the moon and sun, are whisked by the wind, are played with by sea creatures, and are dazzled by human beings. No wave is alike, it cannot be. No wave has followed the same path. No wave has the exact same energetic field, for it has developed only because it is different from the rest.
Waves build and build, until they reach the point where they disperse their energy. Then are taken back out to sea to help future waves generate. As a surfer, I feel more than blessed on every wave I get to connect with. Knowing that I am part of its uniqueness and therefore I am changed by that wave too. How amazing it is to ride something that has traveled vast distances and has been formulated through the elements, to present itself in a form in which we can ride.
We are all waves in a sense, atoms upon atoms, cells upon cells. None of us have the exact same make-up. None of us have the exact same path. We all express ourselves differently. No human has the exact same perspective, for we have all traveled through numerous experiences and have been influenced by countless individuals. These involvements affect our current state of being.
Our differences are our gifts to the world. I believe we are all here to express that uniqueness each of us carry and to learn from each other. By sharing these matchless gifts we are influencing every single person we cross paths with, and even those we may never meet.
